I don't know about you, but 2023 was rough in a lot of ways. I greatly appreciated the mental switch to a new year as it has been refreshing, enlightening, and exciting to imagine what this year will hold. The holidays were lovely and low-key, and we are hitting the ground running this year with some incredibly fun ventures I can't wait to tell you about . It almost feels like they just fell in our lap and yet were always meant to be. Thank God for Providence.

The Cottage

unfinished kitchen in a cottage with cabinets, countertops, wallpaper, and an oven
So far so good on the cottage! Ephraim painted all the cabinets, installed them all with the new countertops as well as the new appliances, and he is now working on cutting in our undermount kitchen sink, after which he will move on to the bathrooms. I am amazed at his methodical and efficient talent this man possesses. Construction was a hidden talent I never knew he had but am so glad that he's enjoying himself so much in the process.

In the Garden & On the Farm

We had a MASSIVE rainstorm where our entire pond flooded. Thankfully Ephraim had built a huge trench that let out into the nearby creek, but the trench was completely full even! We are very grateful that this type of rainfall doesn't happen every day, and it was a good thing that we picked all of our lettuce and kale before the storm. Now we are getting freezing temperatures at night (some nights are around 11- 13 degrees).

As for snow, we only had a very light snow last week, so we are hoping to have a nice bigger snow at some point this winter before spring quickly approaches.

And now for the new stuff....

NEW Website!

picture of new website
I am THRILLED to have a brand new website! It is so much more capable of handling everything we are hoping to do on the farm- selling products, being able to print out recipes, pin recipes and posts to Pinterest, and so much more. Please take a look around and see what you are interested in!

I am posting a lot more these days about everything from homesteading to holistic lifestyle to recipes to poetry and more, so please don't hesitate to check out what's on there regularly. Also, if you think of someone who would be interested in these topics, it would be very helpful if you share with friends and family.

NEW Tea Line!

Many of you who know my obsession with tea probably saw this coming a long time ago. I am thrilled to announce our new farm products:
Specialty & Medicinal teas!

Specialty teas will include black, green, and white teas with additional fun flavors from organic herbs, flowers, and essential oils. Medicinal teas (sometimes known as tisanes), on the other hand, are entirely herbal and are used for particular medicinal purposes. Make sure to read the descriptions once the teas are up for sale to know exactly what herbs are being used and what they are used for.

Spring Sweetness Specialty Tea

COMING SOON..... Spring Sweetness Specialty tea is a blend of vanilla black tea, raspberry leaf, lavender, rose petals, and stevia. It has been described as creamy, comforting, and smells like a hug in a cup. It is a loose leaf tea. Stay tuned!

Winter's End Specialty Herbal Tea

It is a wonderful caffeine-free tea that contains rooibos, wild cherry bark,  ginger root, dried cranberries, orange peels, whole cloves, and orange essential oil.
